Foot Reflexology

We Offer Foot Reflexology in Bathurst

Kick Back & Relax

Been on your feet all day? Give your body a break and bring clarity to your mind by visiting J P Thai Massage. Based in Bathurst, we have helped lift the moods of clients from across the Central West region of New South Wales by providing soothing foot reflexology.

A foot reflexology massage uses hands-on stretching and acupressure to stimulate reflex points which correspond to internal organs and glands. These points are located in the feet, lower legs and knees, as well as the hands and ears. Sometimes, the masseuse will use a Thai foot stick, or they will apply lotions and oils like those used in aromatherapy.

Many people can benefit from foot reflexology. Whether you’re an office worker, a cashier, a tradie or an athlete—our team can help you unwind and release any pent-up stress. Speak to our friendly team today to book in a session.

Improve Health & Wellbeing

Are you feeling a bit sluggish and down? Try foot reflexology with the team at J P Thai Massage. Said to remove blockage and correct energy flow, this massage is designed to improve general health and wellbeing. As a calming experience, foot reflexology has been used to reduce feelings of stress, anxiety and in some cases pain.

When used in conjunction with remedial massage, foot reflexology can also remove toxins, improving blood circulation and stimulating lymphatic drainage. This can be helpful for people with swollen feet or legs.

Are your muscles feeling stiff? Do your movements feel restricted? Our masseuse can use hands-on stretching techniques and can apply targeted pressure to relieve muscle tension and improve overall flexibility. If you’re looking to further enhance vitality, relaxation and balance, we can provide a massage that focuses on your neck, head and shoulders. Get in touch with our team to find out more.

What to Expect

Before we begin the session, our reflexologist will chat with you about your medical history. This overview can help our practitioners understand your concerns, needs, and health conditions. You will then remove your shoes and socks and lift up any clothing material that covers your lower legs.

Our reflexologist may ask you to lie down on a massage table or sit in a chair, both of which are designed for comfortable lounging. After washing your feet or legs in warm water, our practitioner will begin the massage.

Foot reflexology is a tranquil experience that typically lasts between 30 to 60 minutes. Talk with our team to make an appointment.

The Origin of Foot Reflexology

Foot reflexology is a holistic practice that dates back more than 2000 years! Originating in China, this massage is now seen across Thailand and, of course, in our salon in Bathurst, New South Wales.

Reflexology is based on the ancient Chinese belief of qi or vital energy, which is said to move through the body from head to toe. According to this belief, the body blocks qi when a person is stressed. Blocked qi is said to cause various ailments, including pain. Foot reflexology aims to keep qi balanced and flowing throughout the body. To find out more about this ancient practice, contact our team.
